OpenStructs Expanded; Groups Consolidated
Today we greatly expanded the content of this site, particularly in the areas of semantic components, open semantic frameworks and conStruct. We consolidated three related groups -- irON, structWSF and conStruct -- under the single Open Semantic Framework Google group [1]. We also began the orderly shutdown of the conStruct Web site, in the process moving its demo and content here.
We believe this consolidation will be a more effective way to share information and collaborate around the related projects now under this OpenStructs single open source site. Some additional background on this move is provided under Mike's blog post [2]; the reason for making this move at this time is a result of the introduction of a new complementary piece to the puzzle, semantic components, as explained by Fred [3].
We hope this concentrates discussion and interchange further. Let's us know if you have additional ideas to promote joint collaboration.
Best, Fred and Mike
